AOA CE Hours satisfy most state boards’ CE requirements and are respected by many organizations within the practice of optometry; however, it is advised that attendees verify their state board requirements before selecting courses to attend.

SECO submits to the following CE Broker States:

CE Broker Approvals 

Credit Reporting: SECO will submit attendance to CE Broker (SC, FL, TX) within 30 days following the activity if the appropriate CE Broker license number is correctly entered on the attendee registration form.

Kentucky (KY) Board of Optometry - ETP Courses

Specific courses are approved by the Kentucky Board of Optometry as “Expanded Therapeutic” (ETP). Check with the KY Board of Optometry for specific ETP requirements that may pertain to your license.

Transcript Quality/Continuing Education with Examination Courses (CEE/TQ)

Select courses offer “CEE/TQ” for optometrists licensed in states requiring “Transcript Quality” courses for relicensure. Check with your state’s Board of Optometry for specific requirements that may pertain to your license.

If you enroll in and complete a CEE/TQ approved course, you will receive an email shortly after the congress event with a link to complete the CEE/TQ test online. CEE/TQ tests must be completed within 90 days of the email receipt. If you do not receive the post-event email, please contact education@secostaff.com.
Credit Reporting: SECO will submit attendance to FL CE Broker within 30 days following the activity if the appropriate CE Broker license number is correctly entered on the attendee registration form. Once tests are completed, please allow up to five business days for UAB to review and process test results. CE credit will be updated to CEE/TQ in FL CE Broker within two weeks of test completion.  SECO also submits this information to COPE.

Pennsylvania (PA) Board of Optometry 

A course has been approved by the Pennsylvania Board of Optometry for opioid education.

Credit Reporting: The attendee is responsible for reporting their attendance to the PA board on their behalf.

IL OD COURSE LIST

All live OD courses have been approved by the Illinois Board of Optometry. The Department recognizes that SECO International, LLC has complied with the provisions of the Illinois statutes and or rules and regulation and is hereby authorized to engage in the activity of: Licensed Optometry CE Sponsor, expiration date of March 31, 2024,  license number 138.000093.

COPE

SECO also submits courses to COPE for the few states that require approval.   This activity, COPE Activity Number #127539, is accredited by COPE for continuing education for optometrists.

Credit Reporting: SECO will submit to COPE/ARBO within 30 days following the activity if the appropriate OE Tracker number is correctly entered on the attendee registration form.
