What are AOA PARA hours for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs)?

AOA PARA hours are courses accredited by the CPC (Commission on Paraoptometric Certification). The Commission on Paraoptometric Certification (CPC) utilizes a sub-committee to review continuing education courses designed specifically for education of optometric staff. Courses that receive CPC approval are appropriate for certification maintenance of the paraoptometric certifications, CPO, CPOA, CPOT and CPOC. NOTE: Not all courses are appropriate for renewal of the CPOC. *Refer to the certification renewal guidelines for more information.
