COVID-19, Meet Safe
SECO 2021 is looking forward to welcoming our attendees and exhibitors back to Atlanta. SECO was the last major event held in 2020, and we will be the first in 2021 to help lead the way of offering face-to-face networking and learning experiences.
SECO is committed to creating an event experience where our participants can safely and effectively come together. We are taking extra precautions, beyond those mandated by local authorities and governmental agencies, including temperature checks and face masks required of all persons entering the Georgia World Congress Center Building A, without exception.
Below is a list of the health measures we have in place and how you will play a role in helping us move forward with an in-person event safely. In addition to SECO’s safety protocols, the Georgia World Congress Center has implemented a program of stringent processes for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention under its GBAC STAR™ facility accreditation. Easy Health Screenings
Each attendee will participate in a daily text health screening to ensure the safety off all SECO 2021 attendees.
Before you Arrive
When you register for SECO 2021, there is a new option this year to purchase cancellation/refund insurance for your registration fee. With this insurance, you can cancel up until Wednesday, April 28th and receive a refund if you are ill or meet the other policy requirements.
Have you completed a self-assessment and are you symptom free? If you feel sick, please stay home.
You can refer to the cdc.gov website for any questions on COVID-related symptoms.
Before you will be able to request your badge - 72 hours prior to SECO 2021 - you will be asked to acknowledge and accept our Terms and Conditions including a health survey.
Have your digital or printed badge (from home) ready when you arrive - the more prepared you are, the faster entry will be. If you need to print your badge on-site, we will have limited registration services available on-site.
Please make sure you have packed a face mask (or two!); this is required at all times. Children under the age of 2 are the only exception.
We will have an Emergency Action Plan in place, including an open line of communication with local health officials.
We will conduct inspections to ensure the venue is safe, clean, and ready for learning and conducting business each day of the Congress.
Arriving at SECO 2021
We are taking additional health and safety measures at SECO 2021. Please allow extra time when arriving at the Congress this year.
Daily temperature screenings will be conducted to enter the GWCC building each day for all participants.
SECO 2021 has a no-contact policy in place. No handshakes or hugs this year. We know the no hugs will be difficult...save them for SECO 2022 in New Orleans!
Inside the Congress
Face masks will need to be worn inside the Congress at all times. Please make sure you have a face mask with you. Children under 2 are the only exception.
Please follow all recommended Health & Safety Measures including: Stay at least 6 feet from one another, wash your hands often, cover your cough or sneeze, and stay home if you are sick.
We have designed the Congress to allow for social distancing. There will be no aisle carpet in the exhibit hall to allow for enhanced cleaning and sanitation.
We will remind you to keep a safe distance from others with signage.
Seating areas will be properly distanced and transparent shields will be placed at all concession stands.
Exhibitors will have the option to order enhanced cleaning and disinfection services for their booths through Shepard Exposition Services.
Trash will be removed from the exhibit hall and course rooms with greater frequency.
Daily disinfecting will take place to sanitize all seating, restrooms and frequently touched public areas.
Feeling sick unexpectedly at the Congress? Medical personnel will be onsite and available to help anyone feeling unwell.

The health and safety of our guests and associates has always been, and always will be, our top priority. In an effort to Stay A Part of Safety, we have updated our already thorough cleaning guidelines and implemented additional processes and procedures to ensure your health, safety and comfort. Within each of our individual hotels and resorts, guests can expect to see the following standards implemented. These protocols will allow our associates to provide exceptional service in a safe environment. All processes and procedures listed below follow the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and each individual Omni location will adhere to local and/or federal mandates. Protocols and guidelines from these authorities are expected to evolve, and as such, so will our below processes and procedures. Similarly, these guidelines meet or exceed the “Stay Safe” initiative set forth by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA).
